We have come across an old art called Scherenschnitte. We decided to take it up. It is tedious but the results are well worth it. Sheri wanted me to post a picture of one that I have done. I got this pattern from http://www.geocities.com/heartland/valley/8063/scher_examples.htm . This site also explains how it can be done. The picture below is my finished product. The saying on the page is printed from the computer and is not paper cut. Hope you enjoy looking at it! If you have some spare time, give it a try!
